Sunday Share #39 - Currently

We have been truly blessed this weekend, with beautiful Spring weather, here in New Zealand. The sun is shining, birds are singing and not a cloud in sight - it is absolutely stunning! The kids had a lot of fun playing outside while my partner and I were laying carpet in my external office! Eek! Slowly but surely, my office is starting to come together, Yaye! I can't wait to show you the before and after photos - I still have to unpack a few boxes and give my 'stationery & crafts' a new home, then I will share, I promise. It's #1 on my To-Do List this coming week, so watch this space...in the meantime, here's what else I have been currently doing...

Worrying: about Miss B. On Wednesday night, I took her to A&E because she was coughing so much it was affecting her breathing. Miss B is a known severe asthmatic and has been since her life-threatening asthma attack when she was 4. I am hoping to share "Our Asthma Journey" on the blog soon - to give you a bit of an insight of what we have been through for the past 6 years. After Miss B was given three back-to-back nebulisers and a dose of prednisone, the Doctor was happy and comfortable about me taking her home. Over the past couple of days, she has improved a lot and the coughing has stopped.

Organising: shoes, batteries and tidy/organise toys (my 'one more area to do'). And that my friends, brings us to the end of #31Days2GetOrganized Challenge! Woohoo! Well done - WE DID IT! I will sharing my recap on the whole challenge on the blog tomorrow, so be sure check back in. How did you get on with the challenge? Did it motivate you to continue organising your home?

Meeting: my new nephew today. Boy-oh-boy, he is gorgeous! I wanted to get the new parents and baby a little gift - so I got a one year subscription to OhBaby! Magazine, plus gave them most current mag, a card, a cute little balloon and something a bit more special - a birth keepsake, made with love (by me), for my nephew's nursery. My brother & his wife loved it.

I have made quite a few birth keepsakes for friends and family and they love theirs too - it's nice being able to make something so special - and I love making them.

Stalking: people who are taking part in Fat Mum Slim's "The Gift Exchange" - Are you taking part? It's Secret Santa - but WORLD WIDE! Can't wait to get my 'stalk' on when I'm given the name of the person I am buying for. So exciting!

Celebrating: My First Year of Blogging, Yippee! I decided to take a look back of the first year by sharing my journey, older posts, tips and resources I have used. Share the blog love, and if you could, please leave me a comment on my post - Taking Stock - My First Year of Blogging. (thank you)

Buying: these goodies from a local op-shop. I love coral - it's my favourite colour for Spring/Summer...the cardy top was $5 and the necklace was $3...it's like a having a new outfit - I love it. I need to get more colour in my wardrobe, and this is the time to do it and I can't get enough of op-shopping, especially when I find cool things like these.

Sharing: 7 Fun Ways to Play With Ball-Pit Balls  for #ToddlerFunFriday - Master M has so much fun playing with these brightly-coloured balls, it makes up for picking them all up at the end of the day.

That's all from me...what are YOU currently up to?

  1. So sorry to hear about Miss B. How stressful for you. Respiratory issues are so tough - I've been there too. I hope things improve soon. It's been a tough winter hasn't it?
Congrats on your new nephew and I love the necklace! ❤️

    1. Thank you Emily. We are always hoping she will 'grow out of it', but then she has another attack, to keep us on our toes, like this past week. The asthma has definitely improved over the years, so this attack was easy to manage as opposed to previous ones. Bring on Summer I say! I love the style of the necklace, would love to get it in other colours too.
